Casual reminder that the people saying that Joe Biden has Dementia obviously dont know very much about Dementia. Dementia is more than just: this person is a little bit forgetful.

This should be obvious. What I object to is people using mental health diagnoses, that they clearly dont even understand, in order to attempt to smear people as unfit for public office. Its really sh!tty behaviour so stop it.

If you are going to use terms borrowed from DSM-5/ICD-10 you should, at least, try to understand what these terms mean & use them accurately, otherwise all that you are doing is leveraging other people’s suffering in order to cheaply point-score & baselessly smear ppl as unfit.

If you are gonna say that Biden shouldnt be allowed to run for POTUS bc he evinces possible signs of age-related cognitive decline you are basically saying that no one over the age of roughly 75 should be allowed to run for POTUS.

What I am saying is: for a man of his age Biden’s presentation is not necessarily abnormal. So what do you want to do? Ban all people over 75 from running for POTUS? Isn't that a bit ageist? Think of all the experience/wisdom you might be losing by setting that arbitrary bar.

Biden has been a political representative since 1973 - whether as Senator or Vice President. Thats a wealth of knowledge/skills/experience he has had the opportunity to amass to bring to bear on the job of POTUS.

If you are saying that Biden is unfit to run for office you are basically saying ALL people over the age of 75 are unfit to run for office. Throwing the OAP out with the bathwater.
