Endomyocardial Biopsy Characterization of HFpEF and Prevalence of Cardiac Amyloidosis

2/ We prospectively enrolled 108 HFpEF pts who underwent RHC + bx and found 14% had amyloid, often unsuspected.

3/ Most had myocyte hypertrophy and fibrosis, though often mild.

4/ Myocardial CD68+ cells were in non-amyloid #HFpEF vs controls, and associated with older age and renal dysfunction

5/ Consider amyloid workup in #HFpEF pts- particularly older, BP, BMI, hypertrophy, cardiac biomarkers

6/ Tissue-based phenotyping may be the to personalized tx for #HFpEF
