I can& #39;t deny that starting off 2020 by reading @lisajewelluk& #39;s book, The Family Upstairs, for the @BNBuzz Book Club really set the tone for my year, reading wise, in ways that I hadn& #39;t intended or expected when I decided that it would be the first book that I would read in 2020.
Prior to reading @lisajewelluk& #39;s book, The Family Upstairs, I had only been mildly interested in the thriller genre, and going into 2020 the only thriller related reading goals that I had for the year were... @smariedowning @RuthWareWriter
...1) Read The Family Upstairs by @lisajewelluk 2) Read My Lovely Wife by @smariedowning, and last but not least, 3) Read at least one of @RuthWareWriter& #39;s books, which is something that I had wanted to do ever since her book The Woman in Cabin 10 was released in 2016...
I ended up loving @lisajewelluk& #39;s book, The Family Upstairs, so much that it not only left me wanting to read all of Jewell& #39;s other books, it also made me want to read more thrillers general beyond just reading My Lovely Wife by
@smariedowning and one @RuthWareWriter book.
Since then, I& #39;ve accomplished my goal of reading @smariedowning& #39;s book, My Lovely Wife, and one of @RuthWareWriter& #39;s books, which was The Death of Mrs. Westaway. I ended up loving both of those books so much that they& #39;ve definitely joined @lisajewelluk& #39;s The Family Upstairs on...
...my obviously still in progress top 10 favorite books that I& #39;ve read in 2020. My #1 favorite out of the 33 books that I& #39;ve read so far this year is currently @lucyfoleytweets& #39; latest book, The Guest List. @lisajewelluk @smariedowning @RuthWareWriter
I& #39;ve always been a huge mood reader, and I& #39;ve definitely been in a major thriller genre mood ever since I read The Family Upstairs at the start of the year. That being said, I& #39;m extremely excited to FINALLY start reading my second @lisajewelluk book, Then She Was Gone, tonight!https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="☺️" title="Lächelndes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Lächelndes Gesicht">
I& #39;ve also been really looking forward to the release of @RuthWareWriter& #39;s latest book, One By One, so I& #39;m absolutely thrilled that I was able to pick it as an add-on for my September @bookofthemonth box! One By One sounds beyond awesome! https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😀" title="Grinsendes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Grinsendes Gesicht">
It& #39;s definitely safe to say that thanks to @lisajewelluk, @smariedowning, @RuthWareWriter, and @lucyfoleytweets, 2020 has definitely turned out to be the year that I& #39;ve truly fallen in love with the thriller genre! https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🥳" title="Partying face" aria-label="Emoji: Partying face">
