How successful were the descendants of these families half a century, three generations later?
Those of the Bad Class were penalized by e.g. not being allowed into university, not able to join the Party, not have cadre jobs. Bad Class individuals were sent down to the countryside at much higher rates than all others in the Cultural Revolution.
