People regard reactions like this as “statements” or threats or whatever. It’s much more simple than that. This particular leisure activity is no longer worth the effort, because it is no longer a leisure activity. It’s now politics. I’m not angry. But I’ll adjust accordingly.

Best analogy I can think of this dynamic is something like a successful breakfast diner that sells fried eggs and pancakes deciding to go healthy because it’s “better” for the community. Okay. Totally your prerogative, but you can’t be shocked when your regulars stop coming in.

This whole woke era has basically been defined by companies telling customers what they want them to be. That’s... just not gonna work out long term.
