JEE exam controversy is a portal that shows why the elite left misunderstands average Indians.

And why the leftist discourse around India is so anti-Hindu and so disconnected from us.

A thread (1/n)
Modi-hating journalists jumped on to this issue. They thought it will have huge resonance with young people across India.

They thought there will be widespread outrage against the exams.

But there was none.

Why?

(2/n)
For average Indian, exams are an OPPORTUNITY to move ahead in life.

Often the only opportunity.

They stay up nights preparing for exams.

When they fall asleep, they dream about how their lives will change once they ace the exam.

They will grab opportunity at all cost.

(3/n)
For the left, exams are a THREAT.

Exams are a threat that could end their lifestyle of muftkhori.

No more chai-sutta. No more wasting parents and govt money.

This is the class most journalists are coming from.

(4/n)
Remaining journalists come from the entitlement class of intellectuals, inheriting privilege and contacts from Mummy-Daddy.

They have never worked hard in their lives.

They think hard work is a punishment. They think everyone will protest against hard work, i.e., exams

(5/n)
Our culture also plays a role in this problem. Our families push everyone to study science and tech if possible, because that's where the best paid jobs are.

Not wrong in itself, but this leaves the humanities only for the lowest IQ students

(6/n)
This is a classic "tragedy of the commons" problem.

On personal level, will anybody settle for a low paying job?

But those in the humanities get to set the narrative.

So the narrative about India is set by the lowest IQ group.

(7/n)
Think about the options available to a low IQ student who is forced to study humanities.

They don't have the brains to come up with fresh ideas.

Prospects are bleak. Average journos earn practically nothing.

(8/n)
So what to do?

A handful of elites and some foreign anti-Hindu lobbies are paying some crumbs.

Competition for these crumbs becomes intense among low IQ students.

(9/n)
So the best option for a low IQ humanities student is to join the anti-Hindu cartel.

Again a tragedy of the commons.

Would you try to challenge the dominant narrative and risk losing even a few crumbs you got?

And you dont have brains to set a new narrative anyway!
