Some of my favorite blunders under Willie Taggart, a thread...
Going over plays in the HOTEL PARKING LOT - where opposing fans literally recorded what they were doing - before his 1st game vs VT (I drove by this on my way to the game)
Being less prepared for your city’s heat and humidity than a team from 2,354 miles away (Boise State)
Not having a single coach in the box during a POWER FIVE football game
Missing walk-through at ND before a POWER FIVE football game (this is technically just a rumor, but a believable one)
Making the highest paid coach on your staff (until Briles came in) run a defense he’s never ran before. Then, after that fails miserably, you hiring someone as “support staff” to run the defense, all just a few games into the season.
Letting your OC solely recruit a kid without recruiting a plan B option if things go south
Losing to Miami once would be bad enough, but losing twice is a whole different level of comedy.

Not sure which was worse - losing after being up 3 scores in ‘18,
Or
Losing to that ‘19 team in any fashion
It’s funny looking back. I wanted Tagg to succeed despite all the signs. But we’ve moved on and it’s quite the relief to see real organization and competence from the new staff (the bar has been lowered a lot). Looking forward to results from this team in the future. #BeatGT
