I feel like the "video games don't promote violence" stance is pretty well-defended when I'm not sure if it necessarily should be
Part of that might be how proponents against the above stance seem to be understood as "if you consume this media, you will do violence"
I just think it's kind of silly to recognize that media of all kinds effects us in many different ways--Including making us feel a wide range of emotions, but instantly reject the idea that being tasked with consuming violence for hours doesn't impact how we view violence at all
