We were supposed to be celebrating our anniversary today. My romantic ass would’ve surprised you with your favourite flowers and that thing that you’ve had you eye on but had no idea I was paying attention.

I would’ve bought you a dress and your favourite heels and taken you out to the beach because I know you love it there for a picnic at sunset because I know you love those too.

I would’ve told you all the ways I love you, and how grateful I am that you’re a part of my world. I would’ve brought my guitar and sang a song I wrote for you and in that moment no one else would’ve existed but you and I. It would’ve been perfect.

Instead I’m here, writing this thread that no one will read and that...is how I know life is not fair.
