The Association for Software Testing (AST) has issued a hard-hitting statement about the remote bar exam. http://associationforsoftwaretesting.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/AST_Press_Release_on_Online_Exams.pdf
2/ AST concludes: "online examinations must be administered in a fair and unbiased manner. They should not be difficult to undergo for people of modest means and their administration should not create additional stress on already stressed examinees due to implementation or tech."
3/ "If an examination as currently planned can’t meet these requirements for all examinees, then it should not proceed."
4/ Discussion also points to commercial motives of software vendors, lack of concern for examinees' interests, likely hacking of examinee computers, and invasions of privacy.
