First of all I want to talk about that fact if you think Mikasa isnt important to Eren you are just lying to yourself. And disclaimer: the analysis I use on this thread is combination of all the analysis I read on twitter and tumblr
Now that out of way I want to go with the timeline. Since we know chapter 123 happens first lets start there. Eren asked Mikasa this
Then he proceeds to ask if it is because he saved her or if it is because he is family. But Eren why are you asking this when you already heard it from Mikasa once before?(takanova12 on tumblr pointed it out )
Exact words Eren asks to her and Mikasa once told to him. This shows in fact neither of these was the answer Eren was looking for.
He gave her 3 choices
1) is it because I saved you?
2) is it because I am family?
3) what am I to you?(what do you feel for me?)
Mikasa chose the 2nd one because she panicked and it was the safest route and Eren was disappointed to be interrupted+

Which makes me think he probably would insist on her answer if they weren& #39;t interrupted
Then chapter 130 happened. He was unsatisfied with Mikasa& #39;s answer so he asked Zeke. This translation isnt exactly accurate and Zeke says "likes you very much" and Eren says he has only 4 years to live so he cant respond to her+
Why say he got 4 years to live why not say "she is only family" or "I see her like a sister". His words literally means he cant respond to her cause he will die. If he wasnt gonna die...
Now to chapter 112 which destroyed us. First of all I want you to know most of non shippers started to ship Eremika because of this chapter why?
He is talking to Armin calmly.
First scene. He is nervous he is rocking his chair. As soon as Mikasa mentione the scarf he loses his cool despite the chill aura he had before that (as if he didnt care at all) last picture. He cant even look at Mikasa in the eyes.
Look at the facial expressions. He is suffering. These are also the only times his facade breaks. All only talking to Mikasa.
Right after saying he hates Mikasa. Does he seem triumphant to you?
He was beating the absolute shit out of Armin (it was necessary to fool Yeagerists) he stops when Mikasa asks him to.(he is looking at her)
Another break of the facade (again about Mikasa) he kinda looks horrified here. And Armin only mentions Mikasa why? It is not like Eren didnt hurt Armin he did. But Armin knows he can hurt Eren back by mentioning her.
The conclusion I come from chapter 112 is Eren and Armin convo had an entirely different vibe than Eremika convo. And I dont say it to dismiss Eremin convo. Because Eren hurt them both. I am glad Armin punched him.
But the way Eren talk to Mikasa isnt the way to talk to your best friend or sister figure. You talk in this manner to an ex girlfriend, when you are breaking up with someone (exact words came from a non shipper as well)
And this. Even here he wants her to confess what she feels for him (which is selfish af but understandable and just look at his face)
Conclusion Eren asked for Mikasa& #39;s feelings. Learnt it from Zeke. He has to break their bond because he is gonna do rumbling, something Mikasa would never approve. So he sets up a stupid scenario and when that isnt enough to break the bond he tells her that he always hated her
Only after that Mikasa stopped trying to reach to him. I am freaking sure Isayama will give conclusion to their bond. Let it be bittersweet or happy. Because their bond has always been a huge part of the plot. Snk started with them after all.
