The reasons why you shouldn’t use a script, glitter, or foil logo for your business: A THREAD
I may get a lot of slack for this but I witness many entrepreneurs make these design mistakes which in turn can cost them big money in the long-run. Too many times I see entrepreneurs pick branding that resonates with their personal taste and NOT of their target audience.
Why should what your audience wants matters?

Simply because you are not the only one purchasing your product and services, your audience is therefore it’s necessary to be intentional with your messaging, visuals, and mission.
Your brand is a personality, a mood, or the first thing a customer thinks of when they hear of your business. “Your brand is what they say it is, not what you say it is”. Let’s get into it!
#1: Brand Awareness

Your logo should be legible and easy to read. Although script has a personal touch to it, save it for a brand-mark or signature. The last thing you want is a missed sales opportunity all because a customer couldn’t read and remember your business name.
Imagine having script signage on your storefront and a customer drives by. They want to shop another time or look you up online, but guess what? They had to keep traffic going because your script signage took them 3 minutes to figure out and then BOOM, a missed sales opportunity!
#2: Legibility for UX

Being that script and cursive aren’t taught in schools anymore and many people wear glasses, you may potentially exclude an entire audience all because your brand’s signage/logo is hard to see. User experience means being inclusive and serving everyone.
Foil and glitter is fine for actual physical product or packaging, but not for digital products or collateral. Save the glitter and foil for products vessels, mailer boxes, shopping bags, etc. to elevate the unboxing experience.
#4: Professionalism

The truth hurts, but when we’re talking quality, a glitter logo with a crown and diamonds doesn’t make the cut. In fact, it can scream “unprofessional” or Fiverr to potential clients who are used to the luxury you want to sell but aren’t incorporating.
#5 Competition

Everyone has competition in their business industry. Peep what they’re doing right and wrong when it comes to their brand experience. It is highly unlikely that you’ll see a successful/popular/luxury brand using a script, foil, or glitter logo for anything.
