As part of its obligations to reconcilation, the Canadian government must present a balanced account of historical figures so current and future generations can learn from the past. It is dissappointing to see this on a gov't website 5 years after the TRC

Also, John A. MacDonald rigged the trial of Louis Riel and since Canadian law did not provide for the death penalty for "treason," he relied on a 13th century British Law. So many ppl protested that MacDonald Said "he shall hang and every dog in Quebec shall bark in his favour"
