This company reports music sales (formerly N1elsen S0undscan). She writes that bulk rules (outlined by N1elsen/B1llboard in the screenshot below) apply PER CUSTOMER PER WEEK. This means after you& #39;ve bought 4x of each version in a week, buying more will count as bulk buying.
If you make 5-9 purchases of a version and M*RC figures out you are the same & #39;customer,& #39; (by your email, address, card, etc) your purchases only count as 4. If you make 10+ purchases, they will be discounted to ZERO.
This policy has been confirmed by various industry experts and news sources due to the controversy which occurred this year around Ar1ana/Just1n& #39;s single. Here are screenshots from three credible news sources.

There IS a possibility that sales f1ltering only occurs in certain scenarios, when N1elsen asks for a FULL CUST0MER BREAK0UT. See screenshot below. However we do not know how often this is requested, so TO BE SAFE, we should send money to family and friends for more purchases.
There is a lot of conflicting information going around on Twitter. I am not claiming to be an expert or even be 100% right on this issue. However I just want to make sure that we get all the sales they can!!!

I know we got 265k digital sales and that& #39;s amazing. I honestly think we could have exceeded that, w/ six versions of the song. To have achieved 265k, we only would have needed 16k people to purchase 4x of the 4 vers, definitely reasonable for us.
In my opinion, this is just a & #39;better safe than sorry& #39; situation. If N1elsen doesn& #39;t end up requesting a full cust0mer break0ut, then we took an extra step which does no harm. If they DO request data, then we are safe.

Update: S1mon has shared that D1namite had 130k in 1Tunes sales. We had 265k digital sales total. That means only 135k came from Amaz0n, G00gle, and online store. Considering we can buy 1x of each on 1Tunes and 4x on the website, this is surprising...Unless sales were filtered
