So, Tilly is a weird name, eh? When I picture a Tilly I usually think of a small puffy dog or a 93 year old woman. Sometimes both at the same time.

It's not my real name, obvs. It's a nickname based on my real name which is long and French and stupid.

The story behind how I got to be called Tilly is kind of neat but I don't like to tell it 'cause I sound like I'm bragging.

Thing is, I feel like I'm growing out of it? I'm kind of sick of it, truth be told. Tilly. It used to be cute but now it feels...childish? I dunno.

So, my real name is stupid and hard to pronounce, my nickname feels old and tired, my only option left is the name my family calls me from when I was a kid, which is Shawn. Which is, I guess ok? Kind of boyish but I was a tom boyish kid so c'est la vie.

I like to spell it Chan so it's closer to my real name but then people pronounce it with a hard C and that's weird.

My rich friend used to call me Chenille, which isn't that far from my real name. It means caterpillar in French.

I don't know where I'm going with any of this. I think I've reached a new level of bored.
