ONLINE CLASSES TIPS

- I know most of us are struggling with this new system so I’m gonna try my best to help you all by giving some tips that I used during the last sem of 12th Grade (college is only about to start next week for me).

reminder: it’s okay to be counterproductive
1. Take care of your eyes.

Prolonged exposure to your gadgets can cause eyestrains and headaches so if you can, buy an anti-radiation glasses. You can check out Metro Sunnies on Shopee, they sell affordable ones afaik. But if not, pls take breaks and then do some eye exercises.
2. Discipline yourself.

Set a strict schedule. This is actually hardest to do but it’s totally understandable if you cannot religiously follow it. Make it a habit not to check your social media apps while online classes are ongoing. If you use a different device for your online
classes, place your phone somewhere far from you to avoid distractions. If you use your phone for online classes, turn off your notifications for your socmed apps or you can also uninstall them during the day and install it again after your class.
3. Ask for help.

Never hesitate to ask someone for help. Learning was already hard enough prior to this pandemic, what more now that our resources are much limited?
4. Study habits.

Try figuring out what study habit works for you. In my case, I utilize education apps such as Quizlet and I also do the pomodoro technique whenever I’m reviewing for something. I’ll try to make a separate thread for this one.
5. Rest.

In these trying times, it’s so important to take care of our overall wellbeing. Hard to do, yes, but very crucial. Cry if you must, rant if you want, it’s okay. Do whatever you must to cope with all the changes that’s happening right now (pls make sure it’s safe 😔).
6. Self-care.

Treat yourself for a good skin care routine or do some workouts if you’re into that HOWEVER, please remember that self-care can also mean being counterproductive to take some rest. It can also mean eating your favorite junk food without feeling guilty.
To end this thread, I wanna say that WHATEVER YOU’RE FEELING IS VALID. It really is okay to not be okay, it doesn’t and will never make you any less of a person. I love you all! I’m here if you need someone to talk to. Good luck on your online classes and please stay safe. ❤️
