I'm looking forward to my children returning to school but very much wish there was govt advice about what to do at the first sign of a runny nose.... [I feel a rant coming] 1/
For instance, maybe if there was actually a school-based test, track & test in place that might be pretty helpful.... 2/
Or maybe regular testing via mobile units touring around schools .... 3/
Or if my child gets a runny nose at school maybe it would be great if the school could call me & then call a hotline to book the family in for fast-track test nearby. I pick up my child, get tested, wait at home for results & then back in again if we get the all clear... 4/
I guess the answer at the moment is, if your child shows any cold symptoms log on to the NHS website (if it is working) & get directed to local test centre (if there is availability) or order a home test & wait a gazillion days. SURELY THERE IS A BETTER WAY FOR THE GREATER GOOD.
I'm so fed up of the govt making last minute decisions when they have faced a deadline for ages & ages. Wake me up when this is all much better. Here endeth the rant (possibly).
