okay, 12hr into this I& #39;m discovering that qemu doesn& #39;t emulate unaligned memory access quirks so I can give up on getting buildroot to give me something useful :& #39;(
I guess I& #39;ll show unaligned SSE operands instead... or something. Not as cool. I really wanted to emulate old hardware and show what it did

even the oldest Android phone I have on hand (Wileyfox Swift) transparently handles unaligned memory access, it& #39;s not even fun
