There is no money in looking into Cultural or Religious Plurality. In fact those type of plurality are DANGEROUS to their financial gains because if they were recognized, researched, acknowledged, honored, the multiples who are begging to pay psychiatrists for their help might 1/

Find support, knowledge, practices, healing, peace and stop paying them.
Trauma survivors need trauma care but that doesn’t always mean psychiatrists, unless you convince them that it’s the only legit solution and enroll them in forever care.

Humans have cared for each other trauma since we lived in caves running from sabertooth tigers. Humanity has developed tools, rituals, traditions, practices, communities to support and heal the people who survived horrible experiences of any kind.

Psychiatry and psychology are in their INFANCY even now. Researchers know very well that science know nothing. Many are turning to studying whatever is left of old religions, spiritual practices, and cultural traditions before they get erased and destroyed by modern society.

The brain is not a simple thing. Darn we have simpler organs that we still don’t completely understand and discover more about every day yet you sit there and tell me we know exactly how the brain does way more complicated things? Foowii!

Brains can do the same thing for more then one reason or do different things in seemingly the same situation. Even when they do psychology study they never find a 100% compliance in their results. They always see “some” people do different AND THOSE STUDIES ARE RARELY DIVERSE.

Board members of the DSM aren’t gods
Therapist of every kind aren’t gods
Researchers aren’t gods
Scientists in general aren’t gods
They are just humans with biases.
