There are emotions tied to change.

🚨 These mindsets are important 🚨

Knowing about change helps working with people

During rough times is a super power.

( thread )
These emotions apply to everyone, including you.

If you know what to expect.

These changes are easier to deal with.

Let's get started.
The 7 stages
People progress through all 7 in order.

1. Shock
2. Disbelief
3. Self Doubt
4. Acceptance
5. Experimentation
6. Search for Meaning
7. Integration

Each individual varies in how long they spend in each stage.

Some are better equipped for stress.
Stage 1 - Shock

During shock people are numb to the change.

Their expectations are one thing

Their reality is different.
Stage 2 - Denial

People deny the changes are happening.

Then carry on as if nothing has changed.
Stage 3 - Self Doubt

Reality sets in. Frustration begins.

People become angry and/or depressed.

Doubt is usually the longest stage.
Stage 4 - Acceptance

You want to get people here quickly.

Show empathy and the positives to get them here fast.
Stage 5 - Experimentation

People here will have a new energy and positive attitude towards the change.

The change has started setting in.
Stage 6 - Search for Meaning

Change becomes real.

They try to figure out what happened and why.

The questions start.
Stage 7 - Integration

New attitudes and behaviors become habits.

This could also be called acceptance.
Now you know the stages of emotions.

You can probably remember situations

Where you went through these stages.
