Trump begins his roundtable event in Kenosha by suggesting attendees should take their masks off
"They choke sometimes" -- you'd think Trump could come up with a better metaphor than "choke" to talk about police violence, but no
Bill Barr in Kenosha: "The violence that erupted shortly after the shooting [of Jacob Blake] is simply not a legitimate response to a police shooting. The looting and the arson were unacceptable." (Note that he didn't condemn Kyle Rittenhouse, who is charged with murder!)
Asked a question about if he thinks police should wear body cameras, Trump once again reveals that he's completely unable to discuss policy in any depth whatsoever
"They call it choking. It happens" -- Trump says he doesn't view police violence as a systemic issue
Q: Do you believe systemic racism is a problem in this country?

TRUMP: "We should talk about the kind of violence we've seen in Portland and here and other places... you have anarchists, and you have the looters, and you have the rioters... that's what you should be focused on."
"They want law and order ... where they aren't raped and murdered" -- Trump simply refuses to acknowledge that Black Lives Matter protesters have any valid claims whatsoever
What's the point of these Trump trips to places like Kenosha, aside from appearing to do stuff? He flies in, meets with groups of carefully selected sycophants, holds roundtable events where everyone praises him, then flies back to DC. It's a complete waste of time and money.
