Imagine being one of the actual Chinese creators working on Three Body Problem and seeing that the headlines are saying it is being made by two white dudes merely acting as consulting producers

The entertainment industry has an issue where the most visible, most privileged, most famous creators get the credit for stuff even when they're barely involved EVEN when it's to the detriment of the more marginalized folks actually making the thing

So many angry about how B&W are gonna ruin the thing, meanwhile, it's actually being made mostly by Chinese people including the author of the books, with barely any input from B&W. The marketing spin threw the creators under the bus to be run over by other marginalized folks.

I'm so tired of watching marginalized people make things that should be celebrated only to have that moment of joy stolen from them because famous dudes need to be put front & center.

Also also if you were gonna pick a famous white dude name from the rolodex of people working on this thing, why go with B&W over Rian effin Johnson?

There's so much going on with this media strategy and I dislike all of it.
