My unpopular opinion about Ensemble Stars checkmate/Lionheart whole story and izuleo angst,,

For me Izuleo is the most difficult ship to understand. It take a lot of time to fully know their true feeling towards each other,,

The most memorable thing on my mind while reading checkmate was when Izumi tell Eichi that if he was given another chance to start from beginning he prever to be unknown and spend all his young day with Leo instead of killing all his comdrades in able to being top

Izumi :" Tenshouin. Sometimes I still think about this every now and again, and I think you may feel the same way."

"I think about how nice it would be if time had stopped right there and then, during the time we were all happy, and just forgot about our dreams."

If we could have just stayed unknown, without needing to be recognised by anyone. How nice it would have been if Knights had remained the two of us, just me and him staying as we were…

Talking about stupid things, laughing together, and living out an ordinary youth.

If it had stayed peaceful without anything falling apart, then right now… he might still be smiling by my side. I might be a hundred times happier.

I can't ever blame Izumi for tainted Leo.

Yes he might be harsh to leo, even when leo show his affection. Izumi just push him and saying that he's being stupid

It just the fact that Izumi can't be honest with he's feeling. Even when Leo say that he loves Izumi he never respond it good.

But beside his harsh behavior towards leo. Izumi always treasure Leo like a real friend, something equal to him. Even when leo broke his arm izumi was the one who take him to hospital and set password to his phone.

Izumi :" All because you were my friend. Someone equal to me, someone important, my very first—"

Ok i'm done with these angst,,

I just want to say that Izuleo is special.
They might be angst that makes you suffering of all pain and frustration. But they have something special that you might be can't find it anywhere

Their feeling are pure like all they want just to protect each other. But they were dragged into a war that shattered their relationship into a pieces

It just misfortune that they have to suffer all of role had given to them

But despite being so angst Izuleo can be cutest ship too sometimes. Like how izumi always pretend that he doesnt like leo but take care of him all the time and how leo managed to clingly into izumi everytime he see him.

It just cute how izumi was the one who stop leo for being too careless. Even in checkmate Izumi brought ton of sweets from konbini because he though leo will be depressed for being trapped in hospital

Izumi : “Hold it, Leo-kun!
Don’t give me that ‘Oh~ Sena!’…. Just how long have you been wandering off for?
I came all this way to visit you in the hospital, and you keep me waiting? Ugh, so annoying!"

Leo : “Did you bring me something?”

Izumi: “Sigh, you’re the same as ever, I see…. Well, it’d be a problem if your personality changed just from breaking a bone."

Izumi :"Here, I bought a bunch of random things from the conbini. There’s chocolate, and some other snacks, too.
I also thought about buying cake or something, too, but I figured you’d get sick of having just sweets.”

Izumi also feed Leo with pudding that he brought from conbini

Izumi: “So? How’s your arm doing?
Being able to only use one arm…. When you think about, that’s pretty inconvenient, huh?
Well, I’m sure someone will help take care of you…. Whoever that is has my condolences, I guess?”

Leo: “Do you wanna take care of me?”

Izumi: “Huuh? Are you an idiot? Maybe you should get your head looked at, too.
Hey, the pudding! The pudding is spilling!
Ah, geez, give it here! I’ll feed you, so you just make sure you move your mouth!”

In checkmate Leo also confess that he was thinking about Izumi if he was bored for being trapped in hospital

Izumi: “Hey, quit leaning out the window like that. If you fall and get hurt, you’re gonna be in the hospital longer, you know?
I get that you’re bored, but…. What do you do whenever you’re bored, anyway?
Knowing you, it’s mostly songwriting, I guess?”

Leo: “I think about Sena.”

Izumi: “Yeah, yeah. Would you quit trying to suck up to me?
And besides, where’d you even learn that kind of pick-up line from?
Also, you’re using it wrong…. Isn’t that something you’d say to the fangirls, not me?”

Once in their 2nd year Leo have asked Izumi if he's like him or not. But izumi not respond him in good way

Izumi: “Leo-kun, sorry I kept you wai…. You’re still in your school uniform?
….Hm? Is this a new song?
Oh? It’s pretty good. I like it…. ♪“

Leo: “Do you like me too?”
