I expect by the end of election day, it will be clear that something has gone very wrong. I don't think we'll have results, I think we'll have stories of Trump's goons intimidating people at poll locations or the voting infrastructure being sabotaged (ie removing machines)
It will be crucial to share reports of what's going on at the polls on social media as fast as possible and encourage people to begin protesting on the night of the election. This is our best chance to kickstart national mass mobilization. If one city does it, others will follow
Trump will try and drag out any official results for as long as possible to suck out the momentum of the moment, and the bad actors in our midst will be pushing a "wait and see" approach instead of telling people to protest to keep us on the couch.
the 72 hours starting on election day will determine nothing less than the fate of our entire democracy and country. you should be prepared to protest on election night and stay overnight into the next few days. that's what it will take to kickstart our best chance at winning
if the protests descend into violence and destruction, we lose. if they aren't sustained, we lose. if they aren't organized under a message and tone that 90% of the people opposed to trump will support, they won't be sustained.
all it will take is one or two cities to start protesting on election night and this will set off a chain reaction that will echo throughout the nation. all it will take to start a city protest is a handful of people willing to show up even when no one else has yet.
that means that YOU, yes YOU, could change the course of history by being the first person to show up at city hall, or the city center, or whatever non federal property makes sense in your area. and YOU could be the difference between hopeful victory or crushing defeat.
