So Blackburn Rovers recently signed Thomas Kaminski from Gent. #Rovers

I decided to have a go at highlighting his strengths using a few videos.
Kaminski holds his shape whilst maintaining good size. With the defender coming in & blocking the right side of goal, Kaminski knows the attacker will likely shoot to the left of goal, so TK pushes his body weight to his right and then spreads his legs once the shot is released.
What makes Kaminski a tough 1v1 GK to face for attackers is that he comes out of his goal really quickly at times. According to the bounce + placement of the ball, he adjusts his body well, not allowing any room for the attacker to get a proper shot on.
For the reaction save, he closes the angle, makes himself big and quite often in these situations, he goes for the traditional "Teddy Bear" technique.
Another thing that I like (and I know the guys @rovers_chat have picked up on it) is that Kaminski looks to get the ball into the danger zones of the final third as quickly as possible, something which previous GK Walton lacked. Armstrong & Co. will benefit.
Decision making for a GK is key. As soon as the attacker beats the Genk defender, Kaminski could easily come out and close down the space between him & the attacker but instead he remains firm, waits for the attacker to shoot & saves with strong hands.
Another area of Kaminski's game I like are his reflex saves + ability to get down to quickly to make saves from low shots.
Whenever an attacker shoots from long range, Kaminski tends to come 3-4 yards off his line to save the shot, potentially as he wants to get into a better position to save the shot. However, this is one area which opposition players might look to exploit.
Overall, I believe #Rovers have signed a good goalkeeper with reliable shot stopping ability. The only worry for me are the errors he's made in his career, mainly due to a lapse in concentration. Besides that, the 27 year old can no doubt be a good signing for the next 3-4 years.
