Thread – HR 5717

1. H.R. 5717 has been introduced in the House or Representatives by Hank Johnson (D-GA). Here is a link to the bill in http://congress.gov :

2. This is REALLY SCARY shit. I can call it nothing else. This bill required everyone who owns or wishes to own any firearm or ammunition to be registered with the Federal Government. It creates the registration system.

3. It requires UNIVERSAL Background Checks. It implements Federal "Red Flag" laws. It bans so-called "Assault Weapons, "High Capacity" magazines, it bans silencers and mufflers. It makes it much more difficult to become a licensed firearms dealer.

4. It repeals the current exclusions of firearms from all product safety laws, thus opening-up these companies to lawsuits for the acts of firearms owners.

5. Forgive me for saying this, but with the exception of outright confiscation of all firearms, this bill is a "Wet Dream" of those who wish to take away our rights under the Second Amendment.

6. As long as Republicans hold the White House and the Senate, this bill will never pass -- BUT THIS IS WHAT #DEMENTIACRATS WANT TO DO!!! Remember that the Obamacare bill was floating around in Congress in variouso forms for years before it was finally passed.

7. HR 5717 isn’t going to just be forgotten. The #Dementiacrats will resurrect it in a heartbeat once they have the votes to pass it into federal law. Still think it doesn’t matter who wins in November? ///The end.
