Ive seen a lot of cultural Appropriation vs Appreciation things lately, so this is a fair rule of thumb:

If you arent from a culture and you use the culture for you: appropriation

If someone is from a culture and wants you to wear something from it and you do: appreciation

Generally, if the people of a culture want you to participate in the culture, wear something from the culture, and show off a part of that culture, it is encouraged!!

But if you wang to use a culture and its garments with no input from someone of the culture to look “cool”, dont

Also it is fine to make characters based off of other cultures wearing the garments of that culture, but always always do your research. Know a people before you try to represent a people.
