2/ Let me focus on @GovanhillBaths. For those who don't know anything about the baths, see the link below. What you might not be aware of is that the baths has operated as an 'indepence hub' for many years. https://www.govanhillbaths.com/about/
3/ For some background and history, let us look at @GovanhillBaths, which, unlike many organisations, is not threatened with closure due to removal of funding. The list of former directors below reads like a who's who of the Scottish independence movement.
4/ Currently serving on the board is @GerryHassan, an individual many will be aware of and also @MhairiHunter, Glasgow councillor and campaign manager of none other than @NicolaSturgeon. 'Funding independence through pancakes' at @govanhillbaths, need I say more?
5/ So as Rape Crisis, Women's Aid and Citizen's Advice Bureau face the reality that individuals in need of their services won't be able access them, rest assured that Govanhill Baths will continue to host events with @LesleyRiddoch @lokiscottishrap @aameranwar...
6/ Govanhill Baths is central to the activities of @Roma_Voice, of which a trustee of the organisation is @jimmonaghan10. You may have noticed his name in the image on my previous tweet. Monaghan was previously a spokesperson for the Defend Tommy Sheridan Campaign.
7/ Questions were raised when Monaghan was appointed to a role with @scottishlabour by @ScotLabWomen. The article below makes interesting reading. 8/ Most recently the chair of @Roma_Voice has come to my attention. This tweet from @DavieDonaldson resonated with me, naturally given the subject matter. It was poignant and raised awareness of the victims of that holocaust who were not Jewish. https://twitter.com/DavieDonaldson/status/1289849853921681408?s=19
9/ The post was retweeted by @MhairiHunter and I did think it would be good to engage with @DavieDonaldson to discuss Jane Haining, a Church of Scotland missionary who was murdered in Auschwitz and the only Scot to be hounoured @yadvashem, the world holocaust rememberence centre.
10/ Within days Donaldson was attacking the newly appointed leader of @ScotTories, @Douglas4Moray. You can draw your own conclusions of the political angle that Donaldson has appeared to have adopted, being chair of an organisation based at Govanhill Baths.
11/ Let us now focus on an organisation that appear to be exempt from the cuts to funding. Indeed they are due to receive additional funding, a sum totalling £61,895. This body is @HIVScotland. Some of you might be aware of the CEO...
12/ Eyebrows were raised when @nathansparkling appointed as head of @HIVScotland, despite him having no apparent medical background. He was, however campaign manager of @AngusRobertson for depute leader of @theSNP. Why has this organisation been awarded funding before others?
