Why describing Lesbian as "Women that don't like Men" is harmful; A thread

[And don't interact if you won't read it. Ffs]
Reason #1: It enforces an "Us VS Them" hierarchical mentality. This type of mentality is incredibly harmful, as it has, can be and will be used to justify hate, discrimination and suffering.
Reason #2: It creates borders within communities that lead to internal conflict. If you go by this definition, then if someone is AT ALL attracted to men - NO MATTER WHAT - they are no longer able to be considered a lesbian.
A single relationship or person completely alienates someone from the community, even if that relationship is only romantic, and not sexual.
Reason #3: And this is the big one:

You are using the same strategy that is used by Fascists to justify a rise to power.

Fascists - Typically white fascists - use strategies such as isolating their race or culture from others to create a forced community.
This community alienates all those that differ, calling those that do not conform to it 'traitors' or simply hating upon them however they can. Their definitions are rigid; And they exclude what isn't their own. And patterns have shown that, if they succeed, they do it again,
With an even slimmer in-group.

This will continue, and we can SEE it happening. First, Bi/Pan lesbians. Then Ace and Allo people. Then Bisexual people.

The pattern shows, And we can see its start.
