🔸 Vanguard S&P 500 🔸

For me this is a different type of stock I have invested in.

Normally I go for Growth stocks, but with me wanting to diversify my portfolio, I felt that an ETF of this stature was right after my due diligence.
🔸What is an ETF stock you ask?

ETF stands for (Exchange Trading Fund). Instead of focusing on just one stock, it tracks an index, commodity, bonds or a bunch of securities.
🔸How do ETFs work?

An ETF is bought and sold like a company stock during the day when the stock exchanges are open. Just like a stock, an ETF has a ticker symbol and intraday price data can be easily obtained during the course of the trading day.
🔸Are ETFs good for beginners?

ETFs are ideal for beginner investors because of their many benefits such as:

🔸Abundant liquidity
🔸Range of investment choices
🔸Diversification
🔸Low investment threshold

🔸Are ETFs a good investment?

ETFs have become tremendously popular because they allow investors to quickly own a diversified set of securities, such as stocks, at a low cost.

They also allow investors to get very specific exposure to areas of the market too.
🔸Why S&P 500?

It had $534 billion in assets, as of June 2020, making it one of the largest funds on the market.

This ETF began trading in 2010, and it’s backed by Vanguard, one of the powerhouses of the fund industry. Currently tech stocks are booming and at an a high 💥
