What is one book that everyone read and loved which you found unreadable? I'll start. For me it is "Sapiens".
("Homo Deus" was even worse. Harari does not believe in the logical flow of thoughts. Or paragraphs. Or chapters).
Instead of “Homo Deus” I would recommend this book published by @mitpress . Similar theme, but better written, argued, and easier to digest. Less textbook crammed with information feel.
Thanks everyone. “The Alchemist”, “The Kite Runner” and books of Ayn Rand seem to be leading contenders. Also some other interesting ones in the thread. 😃
Quite a few mentions of "The God of Small Things" (which I have not read) and "The Old Man and the Sea" (which is ruined as a school text, because then the focus on remembering minutiae of fishing and dialogue, instead of on the indomitable human spirit).
Thank you all. You know this thread makes me want to read every book mentioned here I’ve not read. Hate-reading is now a thing.
