OMW to Extinction Rebellion action in Westminster. Interesting thing to watch out for will be the impact of new COVID legislation that was used to land Piers Corbyn a £10,000 fine for organising an anti-lockdown protest over the weekend #XR #ExtinctionRebellion
(funnily enough, Piers Corbyn is also a prominent climate-change denier, not unknown for antagonising protestors at climate change rallies; I'll be keeping an eye out for him today)
Unlike previous 'Rebellions' in April and October last year, which centred on London, this planned action is being held simultaneously at locations in Manchester and Cardiff
The action is planned to last ten days and coincides with the end of parliamentary recess. Protestors plan to start the day by blocking streets outside Westminster until MP's engage with a piece of legislature called The Climate and Ecological Emergency (CEE) Bill
