Mario Lemina is such an intriguing player

He is *so* dynamic and skillful with the ball at his feet, incredible to watch when he's feeling it. His highlight reel alone suggests he should be at a top club.

But there's always been a few things holding him back

At Southampton at least, there was a lack of consistency and a lack of tactical discipline. The latter point is always hammered home when Hasenhüttl passes on you.

Probably the biggest issue Southampton had was that Lemina offers next to nothing in G/A contributions. A properly built side can swallow that, but pairing him with a true DM massively increases goalscoring strain on the wingers
