Almost every right wing grievance over the past few years has been about how they've been ostracized from their friends and family for being annoying.
Think about it. They keep going on and on about how they're not being heard even though they've been over-represented in politics lately.

They're not talking about politicians, they're "not being heard" by their nephews and stepdaughters who don't visit anymore.
This sounds like a shitpost but I'm being serious. All the talk about "division" is really overdone but it's true that people like Trump and Farage marketed themselves on antagonism and a complete lack of consideration for half of their respective countries.
That antagonism energizes their supporters because that lack of consideration for others makes them feel like they're being prioritized. They're special, everyone else "had their turn". It's also why liberal appeals to unity come across as smug, like "they know what's best".
So they told half the country to go fuck themselves but that half of the country includes friends and family. Do they hate their friends and family? No, but those friends and family didn't interpret that antagonism as merely performative, they think it's genuine.
This is why they're so desperate for pop culture to validate them. Those weird reactionary Christian movies, Dinesh D'Souza documentaries and jingoistic country songs don't have mass appeal because they focus so heavily on the in-group vs. the out-group.
Which is why there's demands for the BBC or SNL or the Daily Show to "be more balanced" towards their viewpoints. They want shit like that Kevin Sorbo antifa survival movie to be as big as The Purge or James O'Keefe to be their Louis Theroux.
Just as they demand this validation from pop culture, they'll demand it of their family and friends. They'll show them insane Youtube videos or shitty Facebook memes. They can't keep their politics to themselves because they bought the hat, the t-shirt, the flag etc.
tl;dr: most people just want to grill

Why are young people deleting their Facebook accounts in record numbers? Because it's full of uncles and stepdads with an anti-grilling agenda.
For the record my own political views are outside of the mainstream and I recognize a lot of ideology-pushing in pop culture. There's many friendships I could ruin by being vocal about politics.

Which is why I prefer keeping it to myself most of the time lol.
