Why Moonbyul is my favorite voice in the Kpop industry and why she should be more appreciated as a vocalist.

rapper she "lost" her spot as a singer and self-taught herself to became the amazing rapper she is today. Ever since then, she lost confidence in her voice as she felt that the other members were better than her, which isn't false, but it also isn't true.

She might not be the greatest singer, not be the most versatile singer, or the one that does the higher notes, but her voice characteristics are so unique. She has such a beautiful deep voice, that just carries so much feelings and emotions with it.

There's really no one that can compare to her in my opinion. I remember in the beginning (when I started to stan them in 2017) around Yes I Am era, she had so little confidence in herself and her voice that every singing moment we had from Moonbyul was so precious like it was

gold cause it was so rare. I remember the first time I listened to her cover of the song "The Manual". I just cried. She did that to me. And I didn't even understand why. Why her voice, without doing anything special, moved me so much.

Later, she came up with cover "Love", where she again showed her super sweet voice. Time passed by and with the passing days Byul started to gain confidence in her voice. Paint me was my first "Comeback", and for the first time, Moonbyul sang a whole verse in a song.

She had her singing part. I cried hearing her voice once again and just melted every time her part came up.

Time continued to pass and Starry Night era arrived. Once again she had her singing part beyond her amazing rap. I was so proud once again.

At this time I still hadn't picked a Bias, but it all made me came to a realization, in April of 2018, when Moonbyul released her "I'm sorry" cover. Her Voice. I had never cried like that listening to anyone. I looked like a baby. The tears wouldn't stop.

And I just kept replaying the cover over and over. Her voice was so sweet, honeyed, husky, and deep... I just fell absolutely in love and I stopped doubting who my bias was.

Her voice is that thing that makes me love her so much, much more than her looks, her smile,

and also because her sweetness is reflected in her voice.
She expresses everything, every feeling with her voice.
And that's what she showed us in her Solo debut, with The mini-album Selfish.

Time went by and even though she had already released some covers,

she still was very shy and insecure about her voice.

Later that year, just a few days before the Wind Flower era, Moonbyul participated in the Music Context King of Masked Singer, where she performed a duet singing the song "Good Person".

Unfortunately, she didn't pass, but that didn't stop her from smiling when the disguise got revealed (professional queen). She sang amazingly well (for a rapper's standards in South Korea) that she got a huge part of the judge surprised with the reveal.

Even without the mask, she got over her shyness and sang incredibly well and keeping true to herself (nice song choice Byul).

In March 2019, around Gogobebe era, Moonbyul guested on a show where she had to perform a duet with Choi Jeong-Hoon, a member of the South Korean band Jannabi. They performed together singing and thankfully Choi was so supportive and helped a lot our byulli to have confidence in+

herself. She was so nervous performing, but she was so happy in the end cause she did a great job (my heart just exploded).

Since then Moonbyul has been improving herself, taking singing lessons again, and betting more in her undeniable skills.

Of course, I must mention that time when Byul made us absolutely speechless and screaming at the same time with her high note in the song "Ten nights", a song from the MAMAMOO's Reality in Black album.

On December 21 of 2019, Moonbyul presented us with her first-ever ballad, Snow. She once again, even though she wasn't 100% sure about her singing skills, was very nervous on the live stage, and you can understand that by her trembly voice.

On 14/02/2020 Moonbyul released her second Solo Album, Dark Side of the Moon, where once again she showcased her singing and rapping abilities, with her Solo Eclipse.

On 29/05/2020 Moonbyul gave us The Repackage album for her previous album, which included the title track Absence, also singing her heart out reaching high notes as we had never seen her do before.

Recently we have seen a much more confident Moonbyul, that sings her heart out, showing us the amazing singer that she truly is, and we've had some presents too, like this beautiful cover, where she shows us her head voice.

The most recent Cover is the one that blew everyone away, showing us the HUGE talent and potential that she has.

As Lady Gaga would say: " Talented, brilliant, incredible, show-stopping, spectacular, never the same ... totally unique".

Moonbyul has been showing us the incredible singer she is even though she doubts herself so much, and we need to shower her with our love and support cause she'll just get better day by day

Moonbyul really has a special voice and we should appreciate and praise her more, giving her confidence so that she'll show as a Moonbyul as we've never seen.

Thank you Moonbyul for making me cry and for moving me such much when you sing.
