Lovely to see so many new #footballindex accounts during a time where FI is starting to boom!

Thought I would do a very short thread of advice that I have learnt in my time using Football Index and twitter, and wish I knew when I first joined.
1. Start off small, and buy players you like. Before you understand #footballindex , no matter how much research, you will struggle to identify value at first. Learn from your small holdings in as many players as you feel comfortable with.
2. As you get more experienced, start doing your own research - both on twitter and elsewhere. Interacting with the twitter community is great, but don't take people's words. If someone suggests a player/not buying a player, DYOR and trust yourself before them.
3. Use Index Edge: http://bit.ly/EdgeFreeTrial . It is by far the best tool for #footballindex research out there. You get insane amount of data, models, other trader's data - & its all downloadable so you can do what you wish with it. Its cheaper, Index Gain which doesn't offer this
4. Choose a strategy - be it youth, english players, short term, long term..whatever, there are loads of them. Stick to that strategy. Don't chase rises, and don't follow drops - that's the recipe to loss. In the words of the great @FiGuide, let the market come to you.
5. Watch football. Its the best way to understand why some players score high and others low - then compare this to the data research, which is equally crucial.
Finally, there are places/accounts where you can learn a lot about the history of football index, as well as essential free data and analysis. I'm a data man, so here are my data favourites here:

Lots of other brilliant accounts to follow, but these are the best analysis ones
There are also brilliant non-FI football analysis accounts.
