My manager said someting that stuck to my head today (he was addressing questions by students):

“Yes, attending top universities can open some doors for you, but you have to be able to walk through those doors on your own.”
Going to a top-ranked university does not guarantee a job at the end of the road. It does not guarantee that you’ll have an easy road after graduation.

It can help, certainly, but what matters more is how you make use of your time in university.
What skills have you developed during your undergraduate years?
What experiences and knowledge have you gained?
How have your thinking grown over the years?
How do you look at the world now?
Academics matter, yes, but everything you learn outside the classroom also matter.

The people you’ve met, the connections you’ve made, the places you’ve explored, and the things you’ve experienced.
The world is not as easy as “Attend University XYZ and you’ll be successful in life.”

Don’t wait for opportunities to show themselves - create them if you must. Take initiatives and make the most out of what life has to offer.
