I will never not continue to be shocked by those on the Western left who loudly claim to stand “against Islamophobia”, but who are also comfortable with Syrian chemical weapons denial, Bosnian genocide revisionism and Uyghur concentration camp apologism. It’s fucking everywhere.

Really, what this left should say, is they stand against the anti-immigrant far right, the Israeli occupation of Palestine and Western counter-radicalisation & CVE schemes. The industrial-scale slaughter of Muslim civilians barely registers outside of this ideological perspective

This thread was triggered by a relatively prominent socialist writer loudly condemning CVE as Islamophobic shortly after promoting an academic on Twitter who said Syrian Muslims gassed their own children in a false flag event. Racism staring at them in the face, yet blind to it.

I ask you, once again, to please leave the Muslim community alone. We don’t need whatever punditry you are providing, and it certainly is not “solidarity”.
