trails boards on gamefaqs are such a hot fucking mess

it's not as if the content of this post doesn't warrant discussion (it most) certainly does but are we forgetting that Sky 3rd literally started the trend of characters vocalising support for a relationship between a 13 year old girl and a 20+ year old man?

The characters in Trails have ALWAYS been tropey as well. Now well they executed those tropes from arc to arc is up for discussion, but to throw the word "tropes" out with no description other than "cashable" makes no sense; Sky used plenty of popular tropes for its time

It's posts like this which really get to me, because it's so obviously disingenuous and there's a clear massive bias at play here, and it ruins actual valid discussion about how new-Trails might have problems the earlier games didn't have. But why push false narratives? ughhhh

It's just super disgusting to me to bring up the lolicon discussion as a factor while not acknowledging that the game you praise so much (and rightfully so) for its depiction of Renne's backstory also does the same gross shit with its start of the Agate x Tita subplot

also the idea that cold steel is the only arc in which its "massive group of tropes goes through hilariously anime scenarios" is so funny as if this hasn't been a thing since SC. SC is one of the most anime games I've ever played and I love it. It's GOOD anime

it's really telling that I am always making threads like this and repeating the same thing over and over despite the fact that Sky is easily my favourite and CS is my least favourite...how hard is it to be genuine about your takes and be honest about your feelings, u have bias ok
