For some rason, everybody suddenly forgot about Ushio. Bad shit happens to him, he is all alone and devastated...that& #39;s when Tora reaches out to him and tells him this. They later find out that their former Bakemono friends want to sacrifice Mayuko in order to forge a new Beast Spear, which leads to this epic little panel. I just LOVE these moments when they set aside their differences for a moment to fight the same enemy.

Tora& #39;s design is incredible and I think its flexibility is a big factor for that. He can be depicted as the most insane and vicous demon ever, but also like a total scumbag - and it looks never out of place.
The second panel takes place just a few chapters before the first one.

The situation is totally chaotic and has escalated to the point where Asako is the one going to risk her life. Ushio, reminiscing about past deaths, swears to never lose anyone else and saves Asako.
The pain and intensity in this scene is conveyed so so strongly.

When everything seemed to have settled down a bit, Guren suddenly appears and wracks havoc.
In an incredibly emotional scene Ushio apologizes to Asako and decides to help his former Bakemono friends, although they attacked him and almost killed Asako.

"I& #39;m sorry...It& #39;s best you forget about me...But I won& #39;t forget you...I& #39;ll never forget you..."
