I think the church bred singer was pushed out because it wasn’t as lucrative as an ok singer/excellent performer
Once “urban” music came into its own the traditional sound had to be done away with to capitalize on profits
I use to think that the true “sangers” couldn’t adapt to the time. In reality the sound devolved and their talents were no longer properly catered to
There’s no reason why someone that can sang, have an album full of hard percussions. They should glide over pianos, harmonize the sax and pour their heart out to a harp lolol
I feel this in my soul everytime bc of the strong vibration she draws from her diaphragm. Lol it subconsciously raises my vibration because I’m forced to rise to hers
