WHY WINA KE KL?

I’m on my final semester of my Diploma. I was supposed to be done by the end of August but COVID happened so all of my practical classes are pushed back to ANOTHER semester (big sad i know

)

I’m currently taking Culinary Arts hence why my university wants me back to attend actual kitchen classes

(no it can’t be done through Zoom sessions, this ain’t Cooking Mama y’all)

CEMANA KAN BALIK KL?

1. Plan ahead. Give yourself

AT LEAST 3 WEEKS

to do everything.

Get in contact with your Uni/Uni’s International Office on when your class/semester starts.

**You are ONLY ALLOWED to come go back to Malaysia if you are REQUIRED TO by your university**

2. Your university has to make an actual letter to you stating that you are REQUIRED TO BE ON CAMPUS with valid reasons. MoE and JPM Brunei needs to see this official letter.

Contact your university’s International Office for it. They will help you with the SOPs in detail.

3. Once you have that letter, your uni will need to notify EMGS (Education Malaysia Global Services) that *YOU* specially, will come back to campus.

4. Buy a flight ticket (go read #1 again).You need it to register for the EMGS Travel Authorisation Form

5. EMGS Travel Authorisation Form

This is the same website when you check your Student VISA status. You need to register yourself (include details + flight ticket) when you register.

You will need to wait till it reaches 100% to proceed the next steps

6. After getting that approved it’s time for the Brunei procedures!

ALL OF THE STEPS ARE VERY IMPORTANT, CROSS OUT A STEP EVERYTIME YOU COMPLETE ONE (cause banyak forms kan di isi ni, confirm paning)

Step 6 salah email tu, refer to second picture for the email address

I know it’s a whole load but trust me, every step counts.

Salinan Akaun Bank Simpanan Pelajar is a Bank Statement. Go to your chosen local bank and ask for one (might have to pay $5 for it if BIBD - ask for the last month’s statement)

Don’t forget to send to MoE’s email

7. Wait for MOE to call you back (this is when they will tell you it’s approved!)- mine took a few days. They will hand you a hardcopy of your approved Form A & B

Scan everything and proceed to Step 5 of the BWN Procedure!
