Comparing Presidential candidates by Twitter followers seems vapid and shallow.

Except.

The Dems haven't run a candidate as popular as Obama since I've been alive, and Twitter followers are one measure of that popularity, especially amongst young liberals and leftists. https://twitter.com/donwinslow/status/1300606002207760384
These folks COULD be the base of the Democratic party but they're afraid of losing the bottom age bracket of Boomers and the more center-leaning Millenials (whom I'm told exist.)

I got a mailer today, because I live in OH, that proclaimed Biden as a Radical Leftist. Pfft.
Biden's leftism 1) isn't true but 2) would be welcome. Imagine Biden campaigning not on scary socialism or radical police abolition, but on healthcare for all of us when needed, and a strong stance against violence in our streets, and equality for all Americans.
This thread has no point. American politics were bad enough in the 90s, when I first remember them, and they've steadily become more divided, driven hard by a GOP seeking power at any cost, and an opposition party unwilling to take them to the mat.
I dunno. Vote. Get your friends and family to vote. Get strangers to vote, then keep fighting for real change. I hope it works, and if not I'll try to support my friends in the street fighting hard.
