While FBI had to be concerned at this point what Russians would do with hacked emails from private server, Dutch intelligence literally watched as the DNC hack happened, so FBI had to be considering leaking or blackmail risk on HILLARY, too. Too many try to confuse us by lumping in the emails Americans were wondering had been hacked on Hillary’s private server which was an ongoing bigger deal at the moment, btwn the hacked DNC and Podesta emails which weren’t publicly known yet. FBI knew by this point a risk of both.
What’s also interesting is really any American could be talking about hacked Hillary emails by Russia at this point, though notice Comey stated by the time CI investigations were opened, they were on Manafort, Page, Flynn, PapaD and he states NOT Trump.

What should be pointed out here strongly (and especially to the left and the media) is a counterintel investigation is different than a criminal one. Recall FBI SAC Mike Gaeta’s testimony regarding Steele’s info they’d been getting even before making him a paid asset in 2013?
They weren’t planning to ever have Steele testify in a case or be a witness, whether he was supplying FIFA intel, Mogilevich, the later dossier, or whatever.

Keep in mind that we know Hillary had her private server during 2010 when in middle of yr Russian spies were deported because one in particular(Cynthia Murphy)was getting close to her, yet there was no *known* CI investigation opened by the FBI to protect or investigate her.
It’s interesting to me Steele opening his Orbis business w/partner coincided with kickoff of so-called Russia Reset, Russian election hacking that prior year we didn’t know about until years later. And Steele intro to Gaeta Spring ‘10 —Russian spies deported couple months later.
We also know oddly, Carter Page’s involvement with the Buryakov case began not long after this wrangling up of Russian spies occurred.

But what also figures into the middle here is before Yanukovych being ousted and Crimea annex 2014 and Page giving binders to Russian spies that contain recording devices 2013, we didn’t learn until last year Russia was compromising FBI by 2012, if this reporting accurate.
So Obama, McCain campaigns were hacked 2008. No one is clear what was really taken. They blamed China. Then within a couple short months, Russia Reset, Skolkovo, etc. Then one Russian spy was gtg close to Clinton by the following year, bringing abrupt end to 10-yr investigation.

I don’t understand counterintelligence at all to wrap my head around all. Can CI investigations last decades? Did the one which began in 2000, deported Rus spies in 2010 ever close? Why doesn’t it ever matter that Obama’s shit was hacked and Russians could have blackmailed him?
Or later her? What did American gain from Russia Reset? Did we gain anything?

I just lack any knowledge around CI investigations, but this whole counterintelligence investigation everyone’s concerned went dark - could it conflict with other ongoing CI work? Why was a CI team embedded with Mueller team? What were they doing?

Why does no one on the left or even GOP screaming how did Obama just let Russia interfere with FBI comms from these compounds(2012), yet not dropkick them from country until four yrs later after election? Why’s no one bring up the obvious that Obama literally hacked by Russia
