Rant on just how expensive cancer treatment is turning out to be, please don’t construe this as me begging for funds (I do ask y’all to donate as much as you can to BARI for the flood victims, the link is on my bio). I have been wanting to do this thread so here goes 1/n

Every sitting of chemotherapy for me costs roughly about ₹20000/- ($280) which includes just the medication charges and not other further support charges. I have gone through 16 cycles so far has costed my ₹3.2 lacs roughly. Which is fine, I had savings. 2/n

I had so far refused (and adamantly so) to allow my parents to fund my treatment because you know, they’re retired and I don’t want them to spend all their lives worth of savings on me, especially when I know I have some savings of my own. 3/n

So, I disallowed them and I funded it on my own (savings helps, no one knows it better than I do). Also, I have no medical insurance since cancer cover is all a sham (I’ve already done a thread on this earlier). I’m sure my parents would love to fund my treatment further now 4/n

...that I’ve exhausted all my savings (also by buying anaab-shanaab things online because shopping is sometimes therapeutic). But it kills me to think they’d be spending lacs on my treatment with no certainty that my Stage 4 progressing to Stage 5 cancer will get any better 5/n

And with my penchant for charity and this incessant want to help people, I still will be running #BARI with all honesty and helping my aunt set up her pickle business. I am not begging for funds for my treatment, oh god no, but all I ask is if you can donate to #BARI and 6/n

...buy those pickles my aunt makes and I’m helping her ship them, it would really make me happy. This, I’m asking with folded hands, and in all honesty. I have no malice or ill-will, believe me. Thank you for reading my rant. Pramanik Out! FIN.
