uzui likes hair.

any kind of hair, really. from mitsuri's soft pink locks, to giyuu's completely dried out and frizzled mess he calls /hair/. even obanai takes better hair of his hair, and it kind of amazes uzui.

maybe it's because of mitsuri, though -- he does fancy the girl,

and uzui finds it quite adorable.

sometimes, he offers to wash their hair. sometimes, he does it without really asking.

giyuu is awkward and rough around the edges, especially in such a personal endeavour. uzui finds it cute and amusing. giyuu doesn't really enjoy being touched

a lot, but he never seems to mind when uzui or rengoku are the ones to interact with his hair.

personally, uzui takes pride in the fact that the other hashiras are comfortable and allow him to touch their hair.

shinobu lets him, too. uzui will sit behind her and listen as she

talks about a new inscet she's discovered, or a new medicine or poison she wants to create.

no matter who he's behind, uzui listens with careful ears, his fingers always threading through someone's hair.

at the moment, he's sitting with his legs dutifully crossed, hands up and

working on a braid in rengoku's hair. rengoku is chatting with mitsuri and shinobu, the three of them appearing as a trio of old friends who do nothing but gossip together... that assumption wouldn't be too wrong, actually.

they're talking about giyuu, in a relatively friendly

manner. uzui tends to overhear a lot of these types of conversations, unless he's with giyuu himself - or sanemi. when uzui helps sanemi with his hair, sanemi is unusually quiet.

perhaps the actions calm him, bring him into a peaceful state of mind.

it's not like uzui hasn't

heard that before; mitsuri often tells him his hands are so gentle and caring that she could easily fall asleep whenever he brushes her hair.

it isn't uncommon for the hashiras to show up to meetings or various locations with their hair braided or twisted into

delicate hairstyles. it also isn't too uncommon for uzui to attempt to leave small pins or clips in their hair, either.

(he once managed to put a flower clip in sanemi's and giyuu's hair, having done them both in the same day. either they never noticed, or knew about it

completely and didn't care. uzui still isn't sure, but he knows that he never got them back and has most definitely seen sanemi with one clip in his room.)

so, uzui likes hair. a lot.

but he loves the hair of his friends, his family, the most.
