If you attend Georgia State or support me it would mean the world to me to signal boost this!

On March 6th, an HVAC pipe burst above my roommate & I's room, flooding our dorm in Patton and collapsing the ceiling. @GeorgiaStateU has done nothing to rectify the situation.
Despite emailing them since the incident, all I've received are lackluster responses that attempt to confuse with contract language and flat out respond that they are not liable for any damages, despite the fact that my roommate and I did not cause this flood.
I am now being charged for library books that were damaged, as well as having to pay out of pocket to replace items (chargers, notebooks, and other items left at my desk). I have gotten a grammatically incorrect and short email from @Corvias.
My roommate and I were relocated for the remainder of the semester and when we came back to collect our things in May, many of our items were still wet and moldy. I had to throw out many clothes and shoes.
It is very obvious to my family and I that @GeorgiaStateU believes they can sweep this under the rug. I am lucky that I have the time and support to fight this, but I wonder about the freshmen in the past with fewer resources who have been taken advantage of.
If you are thinking about dorming at Georgia State University, be aware that pipes will burst just like in any apartment complex or home. The University can’t be held responsible, and neither can Corvias...🥴
I keep getting really supportive tweets offering donations and while I definitely feel the love, I’m doing okay right now! If you guys are looking for any other places to donate, here’s a thread of Black transwomen who are in need of funds! https://twitter.com/planet_eros/status/1273833044768669699
