In 2017 I represented an older Black man on a felony Assault of a CO. Client had injuries when I met him. Including dreads ripped out of his head. DAJD tried to keep me from getting the video w/o a protective order. KCPAO sent it over. Saw the video. #blm #seattleprotests

The reports were all lies. Client was the one attacked. Mauled & jumped on by several DAJD Corrections officers. I showed the video to the prosecutor & they immediately dismissed. In the reports COs referred to client as a Black Identity Extremist. #seattleprotests #blm

What's scary is nothing happened internally. Multiple ppl harmed this person AND lied to get them brought up on charges. The completely false allegations made it through DAJD AND KCPAO to be official. This person lost valuable time & was irreparably injured. #seattleprotests #blm

Injuries to wrists & hands. This impacted their life significantly. This is the power of institutions. This Black man was assaulted by officers yet he was charged. Even when Internal investigations are done, DAJD targets the reporter. #seattleprotests @kcexec #blacklivesmatter
