Guys, I beg you to please understand data before you share it. The “only 6%” narrative being pushed to downplay coronavirus is EXTREMELY misleading. https://healthfeedback.org/claimreview/false-claim-shared-by-president-trump-that-only-6-of-cdc-reported-deaths-are-from-covid-19-is-based-on-flawed-reasoning/">https://healthfeedback.org/claimrevi...
Here you can see the severe spike in overall deaths from all causes perfectly align with the spread of COVID-19.
Stop acting like this virus isn’t deadly.
Stop acting like this virus isn’t deadly.
And read the article before you come at me with your hot takes. It perfectly explains how the 6% number is being used to draw an innacurate conclusion by people outside the medical community.
Wrong. It’s not just pre-existing conditions. If I’m on a ventilator and my kidneys fail (extremely common in COVID cases), I would no longer be labeled “SOLELY COVID-19 DEATH” even though I died because of COVID-19. https://twitter.com/realappraisersc/status/1300555735756046336?s=21">https://twitter.com/realappra... https://twitter.com/realappraisersc/status/1300555735756046336">https://twitter.com/realappra...
The only reason I’m sharing this is because I’m seeing at risk people on Facebook sharing this 6% number as a way to say they shouldn’t care or be worried about COVID-19. This issue is personal for me because I lost a loved one to the virus and people need to understand the data.
Incredibly frustrating seeing the (expected) replies to this thread. This isn’t a political issue and people are making it one because it’s convenient. This goes back to doctors and how they define cause of death, not with the CDC.
