Nearly 8 years ago I made a statement that was bad. I didn’t realize how bad it was until someone point it out and I corrected it. Did I call Obama nobama? Yes. Was i ignorant? Yes. I grew up in a very conservative republican household.

I grew up in a family that was heavy in law enforcement and heavy in racism. It wasn’t until I was a young man that I began to realize everything these people told me was wrong. Through self enlightenment and education I began to finally grow as a person.

I was an ignorant person and a product of the environment I grew up in. Now looking back on this old post I realize how extremely important it is to make sure my daughter learns at a young age what it took me to adulthood to figure out on my own.
